Quality grading, packaging, and branding

1. Quality Grading

  • Agarwood Chips
    • Grades:
      • Super Grade / A+ – Dark, heavy, resin-saturated, strong aroma, high oil content.
      • Grade A – Slightly lighter, good resin content, aromatic.
      • Grade B – Moderate resin, lighter aroma, often used for blending.
      • Grade C / Lower – Minimal resin, mostly wood, lower market value.
    • Factors: Resin content, color, density, aroma intensity, age of tree, origin.
  • Agarwood Oil
    • Grades (based on color, density, aroma):
      • Super-grade Oud Oil: Dark, thick, extremely aromatic, aged.
      • Premium: Medium-dark, aromatic, suitable for perfumery.
      • Standard / Commercial: Lighter color, moderate aroma, used in blends.
    • Parameters:
      • GC-MS / Lab analysis for chemical profile
      • Viscosity, color, aroma strength, longevity
  • Incense & Candles
    • Grades: Based on raw material quality (chips/oil), burning aroma, and composition.
      • Premium incense uses high-grade chips or oil.
      • Standard incense uses lower-grade chips mixed with fillers.
  • Beads / Jewelry
    • Graded by resin content, aroma, color, and wood density.
    • Higher resin → darker, heavier, more fragrant beads → luxury segment.
