I. Program Description
This training program is designed to equip trainees with practical competencies in crafting agarwood beads and jewelry products. It integrates traditional agarwood craft knowledge with TESDA core standards on jewelry fabrication, safety, quality control, and market readiness. The program supports livelihood development, MSMEs, cultural heritage preservation, and sustainable value addition to agarwood resources.
II. Nominal Training Duration
Total Training Hours: 34 Hours
- Theory / Lecture: 10 Hours
- Practical / Hands-on Workshop: 24 Hours
III. Program Outcomes
Upon completion of the training, trainees shall be able to:
- Apply workplace communication, teamwork, professionalism, and OHS practices.
- Select, prepare, and condition agarwood materials for jewelry crafting.
- Fabricate agarwood beads and jewelry components using appropriate tools.
- Assemble and finish agarwood jewelry products to quality standards.
- Preserve agarwood aroma and resin integrity during fabrication.
- Package and present agarwood jewelry products for market readiness.
IV. Entry Requirements
- At least 15 years old
- Able to read and write
- Physically fit for manual craft activities
- No prior jewelry experience required

IX. Trainer Qualification
- Jewelry Making NC II or higher OR
- At least three (3) years industry experience in jewelry or artisan craft
- Training Methodology I (TM I) – preferred
X. Certification
Successful trainees shall be issued a:
Certificate of Completion – Certified Agarwood Beads & Jewelry Artisan
This certificate may be used for TESDA bridging toward Jewelry Making NC II assessment through an accredited assessment center.
