The Department of Environment and Natural Resources – CALABARZON Regional Office fully supports the proposed establishment of a standalone TESDA qualification for Agarwood Farming (NC I–NC III).

Agarwood (Aquilaria spp.) is a CITES-regulated species, and its cultivation requires compliance with environmental laws and sustainable agroforestry practices. A dedicated skills certification will enhance legal production, promote conservation-through-cultivation, and safeguard biodiversity within the region.
