We respectfully submit for your consideration the application for UTPRAS registration of our proposed training program entitled “Agarwood Beads & Jewelry Crafting Workshop,” to be offered by Oud Academia, under the Crown Institute for Agarwood Science, Art, and Sustainable Enterprise (CI-ASASE).
This program is designed as a Non-Qualification, Industry-Specific Skills Training Program, aligned with the Jewelry Making (Fine Jewelry) NC II Training Regulations, and developed to support livelihood generation, MSME development, and cultural craft preservation through value-added agarwood utilization.
The training integrates TESDA-mandated basic, common, and core competencies—including workplace communication, occupational health and safety, quality standards, and jewelry fabrication—while introducing agarwood-specific specialization units such as material grading, aroma preservation, ethical sourcing, and market-ready product presentation. These industry-specific competencies address a recognized gap not covered under existing qualification-based programs.
The program is intended for:
- Community artisans and craftsmen
- Agarwood farmers and processors
- MSMEs and livelihood trainees
- Cultural heritage and creative industry practitioners
We believe this initiative strongly supports TESDA’s priorities on inclusive growth, green skills, creative industries, and sustainable livelihood development, particularly in rural and resource-based communities.
In support of this application, we are submitting the complete set of required documents, including:
- TESDA Training Plan (TP)
- Competency Mapping Matrix aligned with Jewelry Making NC II
- Assessment Tools Package (checklists, rubrics, portfolio evaluation)
- Trainer qualifications and facilities information
