ANNEX S – TRAINER QUALIFICATION & ACCREDITATION MATRIX (TESDA-READY)

Agarwood Farming NC I – NC III

1. Purpose

This matrix defines the minimum and preferred qualifications, accreditation requirements, and competency expectations for trainers delivering the Agarwood Farming NC I, NC II, and NC III programs, in compliance with TESDA Training Regulations, CBT standards, and industry best practices.

It supports:

  • Program accreditation and audit readiness
  • Consistent trainer quality across regions
  • Progressive trainer upgrading aligned with ladderized NC levels

3. Detailed Accreditation Requirements

3.1 TESDA Trainer Accreditation

Trainers must:

  • Hold a valid Trainer’s Methodology Certificate (TMC) or Trainer Methodology Level (TM I–III) appropriate to the NC level
  • Be registered or accredited with TESDA as a trainer under relevant qualifications
  • Comply with TESDA’s Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirements

3.2 Technical Qualification Equivalency

Where the Agarwood Farming NC is newly introduced:

  • Equivalent qualifications may include Agroforestry NC, Horticulture NC, Forest Plantation NC, or documented industry expertise
  • Equivalency must be validated by the TESDA Regional Office or TWG

4. Industry Experience Validation

Acceptable evidence includes:

  • Farm ownership or management records
  • Employment certificates from plantations or agroforestry enterprises
  • Research or extension work with SUCs or DA–ATI
  • Portfolio of documented agarwood-related activities (photos, logs, reports)

5. Assessor Pathway (for NC II–NC III Trainers)

Trainers delivering NC II and NC III are encouraged to progress toward TESDA Assessor Accreditation:

7. Barangay / LGU Delivery Considerations

For community-based training:

  • Co-trainers or resource persons may assist (LGU agriculturists, ATI technicians)
  • Lead trainer must still meet TESDA minimum accreditation
  • Guest experts may be invited for specialized modules (with documentation)

8. Quality Assurance and Compliance

  • Trainer credentials reviewed during program registration and audit
  • Annual trainer performance evaluation
  • Feedback integration from trainees and assessors
